And now it's Mandela, LIB
Jailed African National Congress leader Nelson Mandela has obtained his LIB degree.

But will he be released in time for his graduation ceremony next year?

The University of South Africa confirmed yesterday that Mandela has passed his final exams this year. Mandela practiced as alawyer in Johannesburg in the 1950s. His partner was Oliver Tambo. According to the family lawyer, Ismail Ayob, Mandela graduated from Wits University with a BA degree. At that stage, it was possible to practise law in South Africa without having to obtain an LIB.

The National Association of Democratic Lawyers (Nadel) congratulated Mandela on his achievement, saying that it served as an inspiration to all prisoners and detainees. Mandela is the life-president of Nadel.
