I remember in 1990 when he was released from jail. I was only about 10 yrs old & have heard about this man before but had no idea what he stood for. Well, with time I understood the magnitude of his release which culminated in our first democratic elections. Through the years I followed his life, read his books, read his speeches & to this day I thank the Lord that we have been given the opportunity to have had him as a leader, father, an icon & the world's greatest statesman.
