I've never met you personally, but I was at the Rugby World Cup match when you came onto the pitch in your team jersey, and I was deeply moved by the nature and meaning of that gesture. In that simple, unassuming way, you showed us what unity in diversity could - and should - be, and demonstrated the enormous power of forgiveness. Thank you, Madiba, for the sacrifices you have made throughout your life so that all South Africans could be free - and for all of your incredible humanitarian work.
